…Lost team rider Jeff “OX” Kargola took 4th place this past Saturday at the Lucas Oil Off-Road Series in Surprise Az in the Superlite Class. Ox came in 4th just behind friend and fellow Metal Mulisha rider Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg who took 3rd, Chad George who took 2nd, and the 1st place winner Brandon Ward. This was actually quite the feat for OX as he flipped his Superlite truck end over end on his 3rd lap in qualifying, coming close to turning it into junk!. Despite this, his pit crew somehow slapped the truck back together with a few custom welds, a can full of radiator stop leak and a tube of JB Weld..(no joke!)..OX ended up only being able to use 2nd & 4th gears but he had enough to slide into that 4th position. Sunday wasn’t so nice to the General Tire driver as his truck was either too banged up from the day before, or they forgot to ad enough talent before he took off the line. The repairs will cost him some dough, but I’m pretty sure sponsor and friend Dana Zamalloa will figure out a way to cover it! (btw happy birthday Dana).. It wasn’t all bad news cuz Dana had stolen Ox’s daily driver truck the week before and passed it off to Ryan and Alex from West Coast Customs for a make-over. The finished truck was unveiled in front of the AZ crowd who seemed really jealous. The truck is stacked with a new audio and navigation system, Icon suspension, General Tire ‘Grabbers’, custom logo embroidery in the new leather interior and plenty of bells and whistles on the outside.. Ox can now use pneumatic tooling or just fill his tires from the built in air compressor or clean up after riding with the built in shower! The list goes on and on so you’re just going to have to wait for the full tv show ‘Street Customs’, to see everything. OX and the crew also passed out heaps of his new signature Pit Crew t-shirt that will be available to buy soon! Special thanks to Dana from GT, Ryan and Alex from WCC and make sure to look up ‘Pinn” if you happen to be out in Scottsdale looking for a v-neck on Sunday night!
9/23/10 Surprise, surprise. One week after a third-place finish in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Series Superlite Class at Glen Helen, …Lost team driver Jeff “Ox” Kargola is on the way to Surprise, AZ to continue his 2010 hot streak, and drive home a sweet new ride from West Coast Customs.
In his Lucas Oil Series debut last weekend, Ox took 3rd after an intense neck-and-neck battle for most of the race with FMX teammate, Jeremy ‘Twitch’ Stenberg. Rookie Ox impressed the field so much that fellow competitors are actually willing to call him by name this week, instead of the usual ‘newbie.’ This weekend at Speedworld Off Road Park in Surprise, he’ll be looking to improve on the 3rd place by taking home some serious loot, which will help pay for all the …Lost apparel we provided his team. Speaking of apparel, Ox will be sporting his signature …Lost pit crew t-shirt design at the race this weekend.
It’s slated to be a pretty big weekend for Ox, as West Coast Customs is presenting his redesigned off-road Toyota Tundra at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. We hope his new truck isn’t too pretty, as rumor has it, he might take the new ride out for a test drive on the race course!
Ox’s off-road season has been nothing short of amazing in 2010. In Baja MX racing, he placed first at the 2010 SCORE Baja 500 in Class 22, took first place at the 2010 SCORE San Felipe 250 in Class 22 and is in contention for the SCORE Baja overall championship for 2010. Last weekend’s result at Glen Helen confirmed that Ox is a name that off-road race fans better get used to hearing. And that’s in between a packed schedule of freestlye jumping competitions and demos! You can get an early dose of the action off the website, before it hits the TV airwaves.
