…LOST HOLIDAY 2011 PREVIEW
The boys from …LOST Surfboards always know how to have a good time, and recently we got some of our team riders together for a photo shoot at the epicenter of our mayhem- Catalyst Boardshop. Catalyst Located in the heart of San Clemente is where the mayhem and magic began back in 91 or 93, so we thought it would be good for our boys to come down, have a couple beers and kick back for an afternoon while we put our new Holiday 2011 …Lost Clothing line on them. We bribed the …LOST Surf Team with pizza and beers, and sure enough the boys began to trickle in.Chris Ward, Aarron Cormican, Jesse Evens, Brandon Ragenovich, and grom Jeremy Carter all came out to get some pizza and check out the shaping bay where the Master Matt Biolos creates those OG Mayhem shapes. With a cooler full of Coronas and pizza pies stacked from Sonny’s Pizza & Pasta the back parking lot at Catalyst began to feel like the good old Mayhem days again. The boys all checked out the shaping bay at Catalyst; got their hands dirty with some of the Mayhem shapers, pulling out glass, getting sticky fingers, and a little light headed from the overwhelming aura of the resin that’s been laid on thousands of …LOST Surfboards over the years.
As the San Clemente afternoon lazily passed on, the vibe got a little looser and everyone was stoked to see Father and Son Michael and Mason Ho come walking in, sunscreen still on straight out of the water from Lowers. With most of the boys there kicking it at the table in the back parking lot of Catalyst, the stories and the BS started flying over empty pizza boxes and cold beers. The Boss Man Biolos joined the boys in the back for some beers and board talk, as one of the most fundamental relationships in surfing continued to grow; a surfer and his/her shaper. Eventually as we all know happens, the beers ran low, and each of the boys had to get back to their respective lives, which means most of them probably just went surfing for an evening glass off. Thanks to Catalyst Boardshop for letting us lurk out on the side of your shop all day, and check back for when the Holiday 2011 …Lost Clothing Line drops!
