SHOP OF THE WEEK- K COAST SURF SHOP

The boys at K Coast Surf Shop in Ocean City, MD have continued their dreams of owning a surf shop since they first opened their doors to the OGs and groms in 1989.

Determined to make sure the locals didn’t go stickerless, Mark and Chris put their cars as collateral for a loan and moved to a larger shop on 78th street. This larger location came with a shaping room, and a larger retail floor to accommodate all kinds of needs. Along with this new location, came a smaller name from Kookaburra Coast to K-COAST.

The success of the new location eventually reached a level that required yet another location. in 2005 K-Coast opened a 10,000 sq foot shop on 35th st. This location soon earned the title of Maryland’s largest Surf Shop.

K-Coast has always been a part Maryland’s and the East Coast’s surf culture.
