Strawberry a weekend of chaos and that is to say the least! Strawberry is a small town on Hwy 50 on the way to South Lake Tahoe. It’s town with a population of around 10 maybe 15 people. Strawberry has one store, a campsite, a couple of houses and the famous strawberry lodge. The Strawberry Lodge is run down hotel that has a swimming pool in the back! But with heavy winters up in the mountains the pool became empty! So what do you get when you get one empty swimming pool at hotel that doesn’t get that much business!! A good place to hold a skate contest! This year Justin Gold at Sessions teamed up with World Cup Skateboarding and held the forth-annual Tim Brauch memorial contest/ Strawberry bowl contest. Saturday was the am contest lots of upcoming pool rippers carving over the light! All was good! Sunday was the old man, semi old man, girls and the young guns contest! It was jam format so it was full Gladiator style!! If you don’t know what Jam format is, It’s 20 guys all skating at once, snaking, collisions, slams and more! Along with the live punks bands playing on the deck the energy was there and skating turned out great!
